Caps: Why she crying? : (
Nice drawing, man. ; )

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: @Caps: Is she? Perhaps tears of joy. xD

- Reply
Caps: If that's so, I hope she is crying because she finally made it back to Quill's house. ; )
What did you draw as a refletion on Katia's eyes. Is it more background?
By the way, she looks very wholesome. : )

KNOWNvictor: @Caps: I had originally hand-painted it but it didn't look right so I just used the background behind her. super easy and makes all the difference.

Rick2tails: this is really cute

bluedraggy: I am absolutely stealing some of your techniques here! I tried recently to do a lineless coloring, but alas failed miserably.

KNOWNvictor: @bluedraggy: I always stayed away from it because I couldn't get the shapes right, but I've been learning 3d modeling recently and thought I'd apply some of the same techniques. I used the polyline tool to roughly draw out the shapes and went from there. I use Sketchbook for art but if you're using Photoshop, you can use a layer mask to quickly and cleanly fill in shadows/ambient occlusion/ambient light

Zargothrax: Really impressive all around! She's adorable.

Caps: @Knowvictor that's really cool to know how you drawed it. I like to know stuff like that. Expect other people to star doing similar things too.

damrok4321: I absolutely fucking love it

ThatGuyWithAKhajiitWaifu: Really brings out her cuteness <3

KNOWNvictor: @Caps: I hope so! I wish I knew the things I know now 8 years ago xD.

KuroNeko: I love drawings without linework, it's not easy to make but it add an extra cuteness factor to it and you did it extremely well.
Great work.

KNOWNvictor: @KuroNeko: Linework has always been easier because I could just draw the shapes, but with a more realistic style you can only start with a sketch, then it's straight into either the colouring or the shading/lighting. Once I found a solid technique to use (the polyline tool), the rest of it seemed to come naturally. I'm by no means a pro, but if you wanna use some examples of how to do this type of painting well, https://www.instagram.com/thesketchgoblin/ is where I started.
