Brevity is the soul of wit. In essence, make anything the comes from your whelpling fingers be succinct, and that you don't overstay your welcome. Writing for too long can...
Mediocre_Scrublord: "And the thread crept on at an agonizing pace. Rather than discussion or content creation, it was kept alive through the will of its posters.
Taking turns bumping the thread, they hoped that through mindless tedium they could keep the thread around until the update, or at least until the drawfags returned.
Page 8, page 9 roll around once more. Once again the choice manifests itself. "Do we let it die? Is kaz never to return? With so little content, what point has a thread like this?" But then the time comes and one anon replies to an obtuse shitpost... and the thread springs back to life. The time rapidly approaches, and without anything to say we continue, keeping the thread alive for for no reason other than hope. Hope for the update to come."
"in this deserted wasteland of a thread hope is the last thing we have"
MetalC0Mmander: To thins day I'm still trying to understand why members of the 4chan community are so intend to refer to their artists as drawfags, a term that should be perceived as an insult.
tronn: It's not meant as a slur but as a self-deprecating term for an enthusiast. 4chan has roots in nerdy hobbies like anime and manga, and getting serious about them was recognized as inherently silly.
Mediocre_Scrublord: @tronn No it's because it's used as a suffix for literally any group of people on 4chan.
A lot of the time, people say drawfriends to be nice.
tronn: That too. Common parlance is to use -fag when referring to yourself, -friend when talking of someone else, but there's variance from board to board - some are angrier and use more aggressive terms, others are more mellow and friendlier.
CaptainLackwit: I don't know. I want to imagine the Origami board is pumped full of incredibly angry people that always act as if they were taken right out of, "Gears of Awesome" entirely for comedic effect.
Just imagine a bunch of incredibly angry people doing something delicate like Origami.
Ja_Jarsha_Rovandi: I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: “One vast and vested visage of stone
Stands in the desert. Near it, in the sand,
Half sunk, a crowd of comments lie, whose pics,
And words, those pleas of “update when?”,
Tell that their authors did those hopes have
Which were denied, killed by the timeless wait
The man that strung them and who fed on tears
And on the pedestal these words appear:
‘I actually already have the next update made.
I just split it in half so I could get something out faster,
and will post it in a few days.’
Nothing beside remains, round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, Boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”

I can't imagine the origami board being very aggressive, either.
