DAEDRIC FUN TIP:
All beings within Mundus are but characters on the stage of fate and should be tagged as such with "character:" before their names.

Brenuceslu: Katia's moon mission side story is gonna be great! I like that she isn't wearing any space gear. She's just like: "Look at me now, bet you didn't think I'd make it here!"

Tahrey: Atronach is just Imperial for "can breathe in space", right? Like Batman?

Ja_Jarsha_Rovandi: Of course, every turn space tries to cast the spell 'suffocate' on you. Plebeians use special gear to become immune to the spell, Atronachs absorb extra magicka half the time.

Vidiotdragon: That's the America I want to believe in.

woundedkneecap: So awhile ago someone switched the "Edit" tag to "Knock Off."

Can someone explain to me why that was necessary?

AMKitsune: @woundedkneecap: I certainly can! It was because the two tags were, for the most part, being used for the same kinds of image (anything that could be considered a modification/recreation of another image). Functionally, the two tag 'galleries' had no distinguishing features so it was decided that it would be better to merge the tags into one so that when someone now searches for an edit (or 'knock off' as the booru has come to calling them), instead of only getting half of the results that they want, they'll get all the images that should fit their search criteria. I understand how there may have been a subtle difference between 'edit' and 'knock off' in the beginning, but over time, that distinction became more and more blurred until there was none left.

TemporaryFace: @AMKitsune: The 'edit' tag was used to refer to fan art which was edited from the actual Prequel comic. The 'knock_off' tag was used to refer to fan art which was edited from other fan art.

AMKitsune: If that was the case, it certainly wasn't clear to those not in the know. While many of the images were presumably tagged for the reasons you say they were, many weren't. Having more varied tags is great for a having better organised booru, but when tags have such a similar meaning that people un-knowingly use the two interchangeably (or only ever use one), then it's time to simplify things and make the system more 'new user' friendly.

TemporaryFace: @AMKitsune: Granted.

Tahrey: It's a joking reference to it being a slightly altered bootleg, I think. Really, "edit" should be a credited one, and "knock-off" an uncredited one, but using the latter for both is more amusingly (collectively) self-deprecating. Someone else has done most of the work...

Similar to how some images are "gluten-free"...

JJR: So, she still gets a little bit suffocated ... like, 50% of the time? Hopefully hyperventilating through the other 50% is enough to stay alive...

Tahrey: oh, and bear in mind that it's not just a deletion of one of the terms, the deprecated one is still recognised, it just aliased to the maintained search term. type either one, get the same set of results.
