Tahrey: Neat! How did they do it? CNC, laser cutter, pencil and hand-router, some kind of stamping or moulding...?
Also the intention behind that was totes for you to put some kind of lightbox behind it. That yellow paper plus a tupperware lunchbox or two with a cheap USB-powered LED reading lamp or two inside it should do the job.
D_C_N: @Tahrey: they cut it out with a laser cutter of some kind.
And as far as then light box is concerned, I'm afraid you may be more clever than we. Since he intent was just for me to hang it, but but it was much too heavy. Hence why it had to be screwed into the wall.
Geravind: @Tahrey: Yes, now only full magicka well can... flush their intentions. ...With a proper hero opposed, of course.
"...but without the hero there is no Event."
Tahrey: Given that the Fun Thing To Do when I was having those kinds of classes was plugging LEDs into progressively higher voltage power supplies until they literally exploded (...including in some cases the AC mains - in the days before MCD breakers were common, so it didn't blow out anything on the supply side), or roughhousing around running belt sanders, bandsaws and drill-presses (or, in the case of my brother's class, turning on the bunsen burner gas taps and setting them - and everything on the desk within reach of the flame - alight), I'm not particularly surprised. Quite astonishing they allowed us within arm's length of
Tahrey: I was shoving that infernal argument down the list because I couldn't be bothered trying to explain to UziMan why his proposal to turn the usual censorship standards on their head wasn't going to wash no matter how bizarre the protests got, and I didn't want to leave it there to bother everyone else any longer either.
Seemed a better idea to bump some actual nice posts up to the top of the Dramatic Descriptions list instead.
Tahrey: I thought it was low quality meat full of filler and not much flavour, that quickly gets repetitive...
But, OK, I'll do my best to refrain.
It *was* in the interest of avoiding further potentially acrimonious blather that was getting us nowhere though. Wanted to bring the attention back to the actual art...

So I stuck yellow paper behind it, drilled holes in it, and screwed it into my wall.

How heavy is it, then?!
And, dammit, how come seemingly everyone has a laser cutter these days but I don't even know how to get *close* to one?
And I'm not sure exactly how heavy, but fairly heavy for sure.

"...but without the hero there is no Event."
Someone got stabbed with a welding torch once... and yet they still get a laser.

...arm's length of the PCB etching tanks, really, given what I now know them to have contained.
