I hate coming in here to catch up on the recent comments and having to go through an entire argument where someone is upset that someone else got fanart of Katia they enjoy and others are upset about a certain way she is portrayed. In this instance, they're also on full display for the audience here. If it was from a side view, or covered in some way, then that might be a different story. This is also combined with the "your weird OC" factor. It doesn't matter how you construct an OC, they're always going to be that weird outsider in most people's minds simply because they're an outsider. And no offense intended, but this is an odder example on top of that.
This combines to create the perfect storm of weirded-out confusion in the audience's mind.
