Daniel: Do you have a "hand drill"? I don't know what it's called in english, here it's something like "whip engine" or "bench engine". It's an expensive investment for just a hobby, but a good titanium drill can cut large portions of plastic and a diamond drill should be able to give the details you want.
Daniel: It must be difficult to do those details in the sleeves with clay, assuming it is as tiny as it looks. How big it is?
It is looking good. Good luck and if you find some good transparent material for the eyes, please tell me about it.
Daniel: I have to agree with Skoon. The sexuality is a central element in the story and it's fair to say beast race characters receive a lot more attention in the narrative than humans and elves. This is definitely intentional and it's unlikely Kazerad would dedicate soo much time to this hobby if he wasn't into it.
The story isn't pornographic, but let's not pretend the fans' reaction comes from nowhere.
Daniel: @Radian: I'm not good with compliments but my intention was to make one.
I realy like the textures and shades. Skin, hair, fur and even the tongs barbs. It looks great.
And I'm not acusing you of forgeting, just wanted to call atention to the combination.
Daniel: Wow! The more I look more I see the details. Looks like you worked on this as far as you could.
Continuity problem: amulet of silence and cloak of invisibility at the same tie.
Daniel: It's more fitting for her to avoid enemies until she no longer can, not because it's the only way, but because combat is too risky. That is why I would like an unfair difficult setting.
Daniel: I was thinking about an unfair difficult level that nobody would want to play. Her attacks would be weak and get weaker if she gets armor, only one mana item in the entire game, limited shots that depend entirely on the 50% chance magica absorption to recharge, priests may refuse to heal if they don't like Katia... masochistic game-play that reflect her weakness.
I imagine you are planing something that is actualy fun to play.
Daniel: Are you planing to have different difficult settings? Because at hard everything she does should barely work to fit the comic.
Interesting idea you got there.
Daniel: Now I'm finished. This gelatinous thing is a pain to work with.
My apologize to Armored-Struggle-Wagon. I appreciate the recommendation, but that paint would mess with the texture I had planed.
My camera is trash but here some more photos: http://imgur.com/a/ZrtkU
Daniel: @Tahrey: What you are describing is called encaustic. It's a vary old painting technique.
The wax is chose for it's melting point, you will need to keep it hot without burn. The bain marie is a good idea. It's better use flexible metal spatulas, but if you don't care for the tool condition brushes and plastic spatulas work well. After the painting is done you espose the back of the surfice to a heat source to fix the paint.
If that doen't interresting you there are another process involving conbine melted wax to the oil paint. If it's done right the result should be a thicker paint that don't need to be heated.
I worked with wax before, but not like this. I'm mostly trying diferent things to see what work.
Daniel: @Tahrey: The large classpack and the skin tone pack looks very interresting for wax sculptures. Thanks a lot.
Say, are you planing to do something interresting with all those crayons?
Daniel: @Tahrey: It's high is almost 12 cm.
I was experimenting with the materials, and turn out crayons can work very well. I only wished individual colors were sold separate, I bought three box for the white crayon. I was trying to avoid pigments but it seems future projects will need some titanium oxide complement.
Daniel: @Armored-Struggle-Wagon: I apreciate the sugestion, and if in the next twin moon I decide to make another I will look for RLM 04, but in this case I will live with the yellow. It may not be accurate, but I'm feeling lazy.
Daniel: @Armored-Struggle-Wagon: I thought oil paint would work well, but for this figure I used melted crayons as paint. Do you think it would be better if it were orange?
Daniel: I did a thing!
I'm waiting for a transparent wax I ordered to arrive before I finish it, but I thought it would be nice to see if someone has any advice to give.
Daniel: @Filthypaladin: Glad you liked it.
They were made the way ASW described. I used odontological silicone for the mold, so they smell like toothpaste.
Daniel: @Armored-Struggle-Wagon: Thanks.
Plasticine is easier to use, but wax is better for molds.
I'm gonna try Katia's head next. Mind if use your sculptures as reference?

I did it before the "white eyes" comment appear in the comic. Sorry for that.
