Toryu-Mau: @DOOMGUY11: ... Sometimes, I wish we had Pip-boys to magically tell us what stuff and things are called... wait, how does the Pip-boy know what everything is called, anyway? >):^?
Toryu-Mau: @APayne1776: ... Don't let it get ya down, M8. >):^<
People who slander others like that generally never begin with the intention nor diligence to try and understand from a different perspective.
Sure, they have the freedom to have different opinion, but opinion by it self has no value if there is no action behind it to back that up and make a difference. >):^o
For me, that action is ART. >):^]
It's one of the few things even people who aren't willing to communicate their differences in a civil manner can look at, and understand the message embedded in the image to bridge across differences and connect with others in that moment of "Oh, that looks cool." >):^D
Toryu-Mau: @DOOMGUY11: ... Yup, never touch politics even with a nine meter pike, M8. >):^/
That stuff is more toxic then a Barking Toad from Katachan jungle. >):^[
Toryu-Mau: ... Sleepovers are fun, until that one friend pulls a prank like this and makes the air awkward for weeks. >):^<
Yes, it's funny, but.... in the wrong way. >):^c
Don't be "That one friend" M8s. >):^<
Toryu-Mau: @Queenish: ... I'd say it's due to the complimentary color choices and the campy comic style scene composition that makes it fun to look at. >):^]
Toryu-Mau: @DOOMGUY11: ... The concept originally came from a character called "Briarbard", one of the elite Blade member under direct Septim command who was depicted in Prequel's bonus comic wielding a "Wand Gun".
I took the base premise and refined it into what is depicted here.
And sadly, by the time Prequel is happening, the Dwemers went extinct, except for one survivor. The poor guy does not wish to talk about it. >):^<
Toryu-Mau: @DOOMGUY11: ... I suggest labeling each page you draw with the day it was drawn on, so you can do an "Iterative drawing" in the future where you draw the same concept you drew before in the past and compare the new drawing with the old one to see exactly what changed in your style for better or worse. It's an effective training method I use often. >):^]
Toryu-Mau: ... And yes, it would be a great gift to see you train hard to become exceptional, and bring lots of smiles to those around you with the power of ART~ >):^D
Toryu-Mau: @DOOMGUY11: ... Your appreciation alone is more then enough compensation, M8. c^:(<
I'm happy to see my endeavor has brought joy to another. >):^]
Toryu-Mau: … This HAD to happen one day, so I said that day is Today. >):^]
Hope you have as much fun watching as I did drawing, Jaime. c^:(<
Also, “Altmerizer” is what happens when Dwemers try to use magic. Quite the spectacle, eh? >):^D
...Just don’t fire it at the “UBER” setting, that mode tends to vaporize the user holding it… . >)’:^/
Toryu-Mau: @DOOMGUY11: ... T'was a great game, but then... Super Mario Odyssey happened. >):^o
Not sure how Nintendo will improve upon that one, it was about as close to prime as the formula allows. >):^/
But then again, it's Nintendo, they'll come up with something even zanier then anything else that preceded it. >):^]
Toryu-Mau: @DOOMGUY11: ... Experimentation is the mother of invention, M8! >):^D
The wider the pool of concepts one pulls from, the faster they grow~ >):^]
Toryu-Mau: @Zargothrax: ... Yup, no matter how fancy a hat is, unless the base geometry that make up the overall shape is drawn accurately, it will end up being a crumpled hat, eh? >):^/
As the saying goes, "A monkey in fancy shoe is still a monkey.", after all. >):^]
Toryu-Mau: @Zargothrax: ... I looked at a lot of murals on scrolls from that period to try to capture the poises painters from that era tended to depict. c^:(<
Toryu-Mau: @Jadezzar: ... Try Gimp, it's a freeware image editting software that's good enough that some people even animate on it. >):^D
A good example is Lord Bung's "Confinement" series, it's done mostly in Gimp, yet it's a professional grade show.
Although doing so is not recommended, since Gimp is not exactly made for that purpose, and Bung keeps using it because... Well, he's a stubborn boi, and sticks to what he knows. >):^/
Toryu-Mau: @Sashimi: ... Started drawing on much wider papers, so that I can start putting even more DETAILS, M8. c^:(<
Drawing on post cards had been my M.O for a while, but I always ended up running out of space to put all the ideas on them since it's only as big as a hand. >):^/
Carrying a whole sketch pad everywhere is a bit of a bother, but the trade off on larger draw space outweighs the loss on portability. >):^]
Toryu-Mau: @DOOMGUY11: ... Field medic, or a hospital nurse? Both would be cool. >):^D
And how about letting miss Nah appear as cameo since she's technically a nurse? >):^?
Haven't seen her featured in a long time, eh?
… Was talking about Japanese armors with Jadezzar earlier, so I decided to draw Katia as a Kamakura era Onna-bugeisha. c^:(<
This era was a time of great change, and was the beginning of the rise of female samurai warriors among the ranks. >):^]
Also, I remembered R2t wanted to see Garug get his end of the karma, so here it is~! >):^D
Toryu-Mau: @DOOMGUY11: ... Oooh, a homemade lightbox, eh? Cool stuff. >):^]
You could also try Flipnote and film it, that'd be awesome~ >):^D
How about paper puppet stopmotion animation? Though that takes some serious patience. >):^<
