Odes: i tried to make fanart.... yeah... ill keep practicing...

Raydio: @Odes: I probably shouldn't ask this but was this done with mouse or tablet

- Reply
Raydio: @Odes: cuz this reminds me of my "haphazard" mouse drawings before I got my tablet

- Reply
Odes: @Raydio if i had a tablet it would be a "little" better... but still, ive sucked at drawing my whole life. i am learning from my sister who takes classes so i might be getting better drawing on paper

Raydio: @Odes: I literally started in august. No joke.
Just apply yourself to it and you will get better, I promise.

Kazerad: You can't draw something and then have it thinking about how it can't draw! That is self-invalidating!

Raydio: @Kazerad: Kaz this is extremely off topic but I want to ask it while you're here: is it possible to add a "kudos" system to the booru? Ive noticed a lot of silly stuff like this sometimes garners more attention the real art, and I wish there was a way to show the artists that I like that their art is nice without having to make up an elaborate comment.
(Also you're likely really busy so this is proabbly more proper a question for the moderators)

Odes: @Kazerad out of all the things to be noticed by kaz with... this is the one?

- Reply
Raydio: @Odes: oh god I hope my comment didn't sound like a lo-blow to you. It's just been on my mind a lot lately and this post reminded me of it

- Reply
Odes: @Raydio: its fine. it is really silly.

Kazerad: @Raydio: I don't know, I kind of assumed that was what comments were for. Like, I'd hate for the artists to descend into numerical comparisons of who is more popular or appreciated. If you like someone's work, the most meaningful thing you can do is let them know that you like it.

forestOverlord: @Kazerad: I do like the idea of not have a numerical tally and it is more meaningful to leave the artist some words. If I enjoy an artwork I make sure to leave a comment, even if it's just to say that I enjoy it. Maybe there could be an emoticon that clearly conveys that message…

Raydio: @Kazerad: I see. I still wish I could gently tell people their art is good, though.
