Radiocaster: @plum: There sure is a lot of unexplainable artifacts, and the fact that it's been bitcrushed to cairn and back, has some pretty nonsensical anatomy in places (don't remember Katia's rear being a wedge, nor do I remember the arc where she lost a finger on her left hand), and that there's no source or even an artist tag, AND that the uploader has never uploaded something of this quality... You've a point, something isn't adding up here.

Makkon: yeah this strongly feels AI generated. hands and paw pads, random nothing by lower hand, spell and casting hand having no connection, fucked up hat details, tail that teleports behind the cape etc. these are mistakes that, perhaps occasionally a real artist might make, but there's enough smudged lines on a piece seemingly drawn with a pixel brush to make me pretty certain.

I don't think moderation here should tolerate genAI art, in particular this is clearly ripping off a prolific fanartist that we can all recognize as filthypaladin. I'd be interested in hearing paladin's thoughts on this.

bluedraggy: Hehe. If I made a version of this, I at LEAST guarantee it would look nothing like Filthypaladin's work. (I really like his style as similar to Kaz' but yet independent of that.) When I first saw it I thought sure it was FP but there was no artist tag. But now that I look at it with AI-suspicious eyes... what IS that thing by her lower hand? A strap to hold her tail in place? No, because it overlaps her thigh. Also seems odd that whatever that thing curled around her hat is, is the same color as her. Odd choice for an artist to make.

Radiocaster: FP hasn't been active here since 2019. Wouldn't surprise me if they don't even know about it. I think community opinion is important too in this case; don't think I need to reiterate how I feel about it, anyway.

bluedraggy: We'll have to await a decision from Kaz and/or the monitors. I know they're aware of it. But it's a decision with long range implications and I'm actually glad they're not just hip-shotting a decision. Also, as I've said before, let's not crucify the poster. He could well have not been aware of its origin - plus afaik there's been no official 'No AI' policy here that I'm aware of.
