GrizzlyBear: Decided to do one of the left over cards from the project, kinda went all out on it, except towards the background. The Justice card means exactly what you think it means, law, fairness, accountability for actions, and karmic justice. It often indicates that you or someone in your life isn’t being treated fairly, and you will eventually face trail for that injustice. Using Asotil was pretty much a no-brainer, but in doing that most of its symbolism ended up absent, but I kept the basic things at least. The scale he holds is a symbol of balance and fairness, while his sword represents the enactment and preservation of Justice, even through force. The Imperial city and the aylied archway on either side of Asotil weren’t originally supposed to be the pillars from the actual card, was pretty much a coincidence but eh I’ll take it. That’s pretty much all there is to it really, wasn’t too complicated to connect to the original like some of the others were

GrizzlyBear: My other entry, made in a hurry and it shows in a few places, but I’m mostly happy with it. The empress normally represents maternal influence, fertility, and abundance. Nothing too “maternal” about Sigrid, but I was able to connect a few things, like the scepter that is held by the empress represents her power over life, like Sigrid’s perfume and enchantments are used to hold power over the people of Kvatch. In a way she is their empress, even influencing politics in her favor. The empress also has a connection to nature, and nature seems to associated with the illusion Sigrid puts people under, with the fawn, butterflies, and so on which I always assumed weren’t literal in the comic. Lastly the empress card usually depicts a field of grain which represents a bountiful harvest and abundance, in this case the heaps of gold she cons out of people.

GrizzlyBear: My Wheel of Fortune tarot by itself. It doesn’t really have much to do with the original card other than looks, I had a little trouble trying to carry over the cards meaning while connecting it to prequel. Even the moons, sun, stars, and clouds in each corner don’t represent the winged creatures in the original, they’re just filling up space really. The original card is associated with good/bad luck, with big and unexpected changes to your life

GrizzlyBear: Another collaboration project, this time a tarot card deck. Big thanks to everyone who took part

GrizzlyBear: @PermanentFace: I don’t think he really meant anything by it. Pretty sure he already stated he didn’t want to do Prequel stuff anymore before this, it’s not in response to Zargo’s reply, I think his tone just comes off that way. It’s more like “Okay, but it doesn’t really matter since I’m not doing any more Prequel art”. Also I don’t expect someone who clearly struggles a bit with English to know or care much about the tagging system here honestly

GrizzlyBear: Actually nvm no it isn’t, still it’s patched up now
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: @Zargothrax: Oh, thanks for catching that. Might have to fix the other while I’m at it, it’s the first result on the drop down box and more people will probably hit it without realizing

GrizzlyBear: Finally got around to making some prequel stuff
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: Man that’s sick. Didn’t even notice the tracer thing before, very cool detail

GrizzlyBear: Vehicle? Like a recumbent bicycle, except upright?
Nice, looks exactly like something Damrok made at first glance (don’t worry though, kaz and damroks style are pretty much the same)

GrizzlyBear: Kats aplenty
I’d say you understand how to draw her in her original art style better than a lot of people here. Even the ones that aren’t from the comic actually look as if they could be

GrizzlyBear: It can’t be Katia. Max doesn’t even like girls
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: Uhh, y’know microwaves are awfully convenient appliances
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: Well don’t let that be indicative of the whole community. In my experience people here are always pretty friendly
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: They just keep getting better and better. I love this stuff
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: Honestly looks like my new favorite or yours, I think you handled the body shape and face pretty well, my only gripe though is her arms being a little short. Still, looks like you’re on the right track man, keep it up
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: @Denis: Yeah I found that out while searching for it. Crazy stuff, that some of the actors and producers had actual first hand experience in that whole conflict
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: @Denis: I got home and watched it, but I couldn’t find any with English subtitles unfortunately, but I found a summery going over some of the scenes, and giving some context around the whole conflict. Still, it has to be one of the grittiest and most believable war films I think I’ve ever seen honestly. Even if it was hard for me to follow it was a pretty interesting watch, and a lot of the scenes speak for themselves anyway
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: I’ll make a note to watch those if I can. And yeah these are always interesting to me and the art itself is very well made, I really love the expressions. Even if they don’t have much to do with prequel other than the characters, they’re still awesome

GrizzlyBear: Tbh if I didn't know any better I totally would've thought it was yours. Just with a different way of drawing her face, it's longer and has more dog-like ears

GrizzlyBear: No problem. Whatever the reference here is though, it’s totally gone over my head lol

GrizzlyBear: @DOOMGUY11: Well yours is definitely not the worst of them. Far from it

GrizzlyBear: So Foles couldn’t go with her? Damn. Very cool overall though, I liked those fight scenes. Btw don’t consider it a waste of my time at least. I’m usually looking for stuff to do here anyway, so it’s no problem really. But if you don’t want any more I understand
Great job Lapma

GrizzlyBear: Looks like another new best, you’re really getting a lot better with each one

GrizzlyBear: Ayy sorry about the massive delay guys, that’s my bad. The image here was my biggest project yet, and I’m glad to have been a part of this, and thanks to Skyobolt for putting up with me lol. Chapter itself is outstanding, has gotta be my favorite one yet, and it gets pretty emotional too. I can tell you had a lot of time to refine it

GrizzlyBear: She's got good style

GrizzlyBear: I like that old time rock n roll!!
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: Aw, you're very welcome. And yeah, this is definitely your best so far, there's a lot more emotion here
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: That looks really awesome! I gotta say that design is leagues better than what I was going for, so idk if there’s any valuable advice I’d be fit to give. What I’ve been working on is also taking a while and it still looks pretty awkward, so I’m a little pessimistic too lol. Outstanding job
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: It’s bizarre seeing her mouth actually move to the words she’s saying for once
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: @Skybolt06: Yeah I might get spoiled, I saw that as one of the downsides. So if it doesn’t spoil too much and isn’t too complicated to draw, you can run it by me. If not, I can try asking a few other artists if they’re willing to help you. I’m still a beginner though, and you write these chapters a lot faster than I can draw, and I don’t want to hinder you
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: @Skybolt06: Speaking of, If you’re thinking about adding artwork to future chapters, there might be a few artists here willing to do it for free. I could even help if I can, but you probably know I’m not too fast or good, and I’d hate to slow you down. Still, it’d be good practice for me if you ever need a relatively simple scene drawn, or you could go for someone more experienced
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: I kinda read your comment before I read the chapter itself, which had me little more on-edge lol. I’m gonna say 4/10, cuz I expected some sort of betrayal, but not from him
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: Practice makes perfect. Would love to see you improve
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: @Skybolt06: Not a problem man, and I’m sure more people read this than you realize, they just don’t always comment
- Reply
GrizzlyBear: @Skybolt06: I noticed it. Sorry, I should probably leave a comment after every chapter so you know I’ve read it. And I’ve been checking the booru a lot less lately so I apologize for that too

GrizzlyBear: Referencing this scene, for those who didn’t have proper childhoods https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=xiSIQzwIPzQ

@Skybolt06: I definitely thought you would appreciate it, and I’d feel kinda bad if I didn’t go through with it. Besides, I’m fresh out of ideas atm lol
