KNOWNvictor: Found some time after work to sketch a Katia!

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: Oooo nice form, I can feel how smooth this would be as an animation, great work!

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: Was wondering when someone was gonna do it xD

KNOWNvictor: mood

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: Thanks everyone! The armour was something I'd drawn before so I might try and explore it further.

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: @KuroNeko: @lapma: Yeah I was just being over-cautious. Thanks xD.

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: Thought I'd not do Katia for a change. Gave up before even attempting the clothes so here ya go. Not great, not terrible xD

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: Damn I love the motion in this, really well done.

KNOWNvictor: @KuroNeko: Linework has always been easier because I could just draw the shapes, but with a more realistic style you can only start with a sketch, then it's straight into either the colouring or the shading/lighting. Once I found a solid technique to use (the polyline tool), the rest of it seemed to come naturally. I'm by no means a pro, but if you wanna use some examples of how to do this type of painting well, https://www.instagram.com/thesketchgoblin/ is where I started.

KNOWNvictor: @Caps: I hope so! I wish I knew the things I know now 8 years ago xD.

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: @bluedraggy: I always stayed away from it because I couldn't get the shapes right, but I've been learning 3d modeling recently and thought I'd apply some of the same techniques. I used the polyline tool to roughly draw out the shapes and went from there. I use Sketchbook for art but if you're using Photoshop, you can use a layer mask to quickly and cleanly fill in shadows/ambient occlusion/ambient light

KNOWNvictor: @Caps: I had originally hand-painted it but it didn't look right so I just used the background behind her. super easy and makes all the difference.

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: @Caps: Is she? Perhaps tears of joy. xD

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: First time drawing without linework, I think it went well.

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: Stole me an iPad and whipped up this :)

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: @bluedraggy: Yeah the reflection was the last thing I added xD. And Kaz said that? Those are some big Pupils.
Also funny you should say that. I did this so I could make a better model sheet for a 3d model xD.

KNOWNvictor: Obviously not my own. Credit to RaPel and Bluedraggy. I was debating whether to upload this or not, (was for my own personal study) but I spent too long on the recreation so now I'm proud of it xD. Also, it was missing nipples.

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: @Whistle: wasn't sure if nipples were allowed when drawing. I guess they are now xD also thank you!

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: Apologies for the bad quality, had to reduce to upload :/

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: Oooooo I'm loving that pose and those armour pieces

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: All I can imagine is an extremely low pitched, aggressive meow.

KNOWNvictor: @Rick2tails: @Zargothrax: Thanks!

KNOWNvictor: The first part to a two-part drawing, I hope to draw more like I use to but I will forever hate tags. Had to upload as a jpeg because of the size of this thing xD Hope you enjoy

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: Been a while since I've drawn something, hope you like

I just realised I forgot to clean up the edges, oh well.

- Reply
KNOWNvictor: @Raydio: yea I was just trying to get a grasp of the key shapes and sections of the body, cuz I've only just started practicing anatomy.

KNOWNvictor: Soz my handwriting is shocking.
