Makkon: They say emulation is the highest for of flattery, I'm not upset. I think this is a great drawing, but there's definitely some rough places where you didn't have reference (such as the legs and feet). Your proportions are good. Keep drawing and practicing, as you do you'll start to find your own artistic voice. Would definitely love to see more bender prequel characters!
Makkon:
Not bearing in mine stylistic differences, the pose you went with can be pretty complex, when I have a side view like this I like to draw the shoulders and pelvis like cylinders. Try to keep a clear path for the spine, mind where things attach. Also will take time, but work on your proportions. Definitely take some time to draw some straight-on side and front views for practice (from reference, or a chart) and then some 3/4 views. Later, draw lots of poses. I like to use sites like these (warning, artistic nudity)
https://anatomy360.info/anatomy-scan-reference-dump/ 3d scans of people from lots of angles
https://www.quickposes.com/en you can set up timed drawing sessions, if you force yourself to go with about a minute or less you can learn to draw the most important things about a pose as a "gesture" and you'll train your hand how to draw these shapes and poses.
Makkon: If you're open to feedback, Damrok, I can try putting together a redling/drawover. I generally don't offer feedback/criticisms unless someone asks for it.
Makkon: the real impression I'm getting from these is that most people here either really hate the new cloak, or just really really like the arena armor
Makkon: look, we know why you're here
Kaz asked for a single pose, but I usually bust one more than one so he can choose his favorite, and he couldn't choose. Quill-Weave was an unexpected afterthought
Makkon: @Filthypaladin: Thank you! legs are important to me, I try to make them work :)
@AMKitsune: Thanks! I'd argue that every Katia I've drawn is some variation of stylized (especially these), but as far as reasonably proportioned Katia I do try my best.
Makkon: been going through some old files and projects and came across the chapel model I made for the Infiltrate update. The model was built (not to scale) in Maya, and imported and rendered in Unreal Engine 4. It's using some out of the box Distance Field Ambient Occlusion and Light Propagation Volumes because I didn't know how to bake lighting back then. The model was later painted over in photoshop and compressed to look like pixel art. The model has no ceiling, window frames, or front door/wall. These are some other lighting scenarios to show it off.
Makkon: @somethingsomething: I. Am. Not. Advocating. To. Support. Communism. If anything, communism has progressively stunted the eastern states which is why gay people don't have rights in Russia or China. When I suggest to show support, I mean solely for gay rights, not communist ideology. God damn, dude. You put so much effort into defending a system that wouldn't defend you if it was unprofitable.
Makkon: hey while you're all arguing over what system has killed more people, I interpreted this image as a declaration for gay rights in Russia, which currently do not exist, and simply existing while being gay puts your life greatly at risk. So while you guys are making a numbers game of it, living people today need your support. So like. Show some support, or solidarity, not a pointless flame war about your state's economic religion.
Makkon: two cents that contribute to nothing, but I like talking about this subject. If we're looking for a point of reference here, I think the candy-cane picture is leagues more questionable than this (no offense Skoon), even though it features no nudity. The "appropriateness" of things can't be quantified into percentages of specific body parts visible. Context and intent is everything. Sure, the intent behind this one is still obviously horny, but it's quite a bit more tasteful juxtaposed to stand-out entries in the booru.
Anyways, do what you're comfortable with. Nice rendering.
Makkon: @PermanentFace: I just find your...rather focused interest... on your dislike for this character and people who like her somewhat "borders on the obsessive." My suggestion for you is to just stop, please. The prequel fandom doesn't need shipping/fav wars akin to the Steven Universe fandom.
Makkon: @Kastor: No need for money! It's not my IP anyway so I couldn't sell it even if I wanted to. Here's a google drive link to a rar file containing the 8k PNG file. The image is about 200mb, uncompressed.

Also, don't depend on this link to always exist. Drive occasionally breaks links, or I might have to clear up space in the future. Enjoy!
Makkon: What the hell is going on in the comments here? Are people seriously, straight-faced shaming the artist/author for liking a flawed character? You guys should know that's the same thing as tumblr's "your fav is problematic."
Makkon: @cardomajig24: I do! I have a few social media places.
