egliomatn: @GrizzlyBear: despite how daunting the 8000+ page count is, you really should finish it for the relevance it had online as a story and a culture. prequel itself did not fall far from the tree after all, of which even homestuck was just one of its more fruitful branches
egliomatn: i'd think it'd be pretty easy for katia to go grimdark given the nightmares she's had to deal with for what seems like her whole life and the horrorterrors that have plagued them
yet to suffer as much as she has at the hands of her darkest visions and still barely hold herself together, in spite of her emotional sensitivity, would probably make her one hell of a mage of light
even if that means she doesn't actually know what she's doing until the consequences catch up to her, sooner or later
egliomatn: @Skybolt06: i will maintain everything in my power to not forget about this board again.. thank you :-)
@Whistle: thanks, i don't know why i enjoy emulating the sort of scratchiness and incompleteness of sketches but the results are something i've only heard people mention in a positive light, so that's something
i could have better habits knowing that i can definitely make lines cleaner than this (even if i'm only making a sketch) but the preference has stuck with me for a while
egliomatn: @Skybolt06: no need to bring yourself down about quality when it comes to it. improvement is best done without self-critical attitudes when comparisons are made, and comparisons by themselves are good when you're making positive goals out of them. at least, that's what i make of my own goals.
just keep your head up
@KuroNeko: thank you, and i'll try to have some semblance of activity around here. i can sort of see what you mean when you say my style has european comic book vibes, if that's your thing
egliomatn: @_Noxygen_: i wouldn't worry so much about the accuracy as i do trying to represent what makes her LOOK like her, if that makes sense. i boil down her head shapes to more general figures and add the rest of the details as i go along in the worst sketching process achievable to make the fine art that can be classified as "good" and "great," so thank you :)
