Given that Kazerad has been known to read mlp fan fiction, it is fairly likely that the weathervane from the Terms and Conditions is itself a reference to the mlp fanfic “Hard Reset,” which mentions a weathervane being used in a similar context.
Though whether or not the reference chain goes even further, I cannot say.
Norad2: @CandyDragon: Or at least listens to audiobooks of the some of the most prominent ones. He mentioned Fallout: Equestria in his Lego Christmas donation video, for instance. And Hard Reset is definitely one of the big ones.
