Furrymoan: @Dahooligan: Mix of both, really. Also add the fact that gifs are small, and unless I start using flash (which I don't intend to do anytime soon) there'll be a limit in not only the filesize and my own skill, but the amount of shaded colours, the resolution itself, and the limited amount of text I can cram into this shit.
Also my own overall idea of the storyline is pretty finished. Naturally prompts will influence it, and maybe a REALLY good prompt will turn it on its head, but the gist is there. And more characters would convolute this almost immediately. Let's face it, one guy making gifs is hardly HBO level material.
Furrymoan: @picartosux: Yeah, sorry guys. The only characters that MIGHT get added to the roster are other artists, like Ch'marr. But even then, this is such a tiny format, it's hard enough to give these few characters stuff to do and things to say.
Furrymoan: @Pronin: I'm good, cheers. Involving too many random online people in a project like this rarely turns out well, and in any case, it really isn't the end of the world if one shitty pixel animation arrives a few days late on some furry webcomic.
Furrymoan: @picartosux: I know, right? It's actually comfy as shit, though it's a bit small. I've been using it to play morrowind at school too, because I don't wanna pack up my proper gaming mouse every morning for half an hour of killing cliffracers and drawing cat people; surprisingly comfy.
Furrymoan: @picartosux: Thank you so much! The style is a necessity because gifs are such an outdated format, doing this in proper colour would have resulted in some gross compression. So I went for the whole Super Metroid look, and I think I'll stick with that, for now at least.

And PDN isn't AS bad. It has layers, it was pretty much what introduced me to pixel art. It got worse though.

Though the backgrounds of the sidescrollers and the entire weird first MS Paint thing were done with a mouse, as well as some of the text.

Guess I'll have to comply. Next update will just clear up some of the hero stuff here, and then we'll have a look at what the big bad is up to.

Next update will probably feature less text because christ do you know how much work it is painting individual letters onto frames in photoshop
and about 1-3 hours by now, most of it is just copy pasting layers and writing individual letters

And I'll do my best to make at least fifteen episodes, I have a whole Starwarsy plotline planned out, but we'll see what the prompts are
