bluedraggy: Ooo! Great texture work on this. Careful kat, at that range a kiss would be just an impulse away!

- Reply
bluedraggy: This is great - and the best thing is you learned a lot I bet. Animation is hard - anything you can learn will make it easier.

- Reply
bluedraggy: We'll have to take your word for that - but dammit, you're right.

- Reply
bluedraggy: (also if I suggested it, it would be a bit more mammalian.)

- Reply
bluedraggy: These two are too cool for Kvatch. They're MOVING OUT! And really, Weedum-Ja is hot as hell in that biker suit.

- Reply
bluedraggy: @ADudeCalledLeo: It's a rare thing, but every once in a while I don't cause these things... directly anyway. I did mention that it almost looks like that zipper goes all the way down and back up again on the back side. When fully unzipped it would be two separate pieces. Though how you'd manage to zip it yourself is beyond me, and that's not even imagining the danger of parts getting snagged.

Regardless of that lewd imagining, it doesn't really look like she's quite done on her downward-unzipping. Just sayin'

bluedraggy:
Colored at long last.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Because, you know, magical rings often are found at the bottom of large bodies of water.

- Reply
bluedraggy: It's been way too long since we had one of these. A1 quality.

- Reply
bluedraggy: oops! caught that didja?

- Reply
bluedraggy: Indeed! She already has a belt. Why waste a good scarf - why, the scarf could make a perfectly serviceable piece of headgear to ward off the rays of the flaming sun, for instance!

- Reply
bluedraggy: Kaz pointed out that if Katia actually listened to my command above, the result would canonically be below, resulting in further loss and dejection. I keep forgetting how bad Katia is at certain things.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Yay! 1st for new outfit! I think this is part 1 of a 4 parter me and Kuro came up with. Well, okay, Kuro started it, but my imagination kinda took over after this image.

- Reply
bluedraggy: What Katia would REALLY wear.

- Reply
bluedraggy: A thing my daughter drew for me. I'm calling her Smoldragon. I ran with it, inked, colored etc. Technically it was a misunderstanding but it is a very nice misunderstanding. And I think it's the first Katia she's ever drawn. I really must atone for that.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Long neck strikes again!

- Reply
bluedraggy: Something I wrote a while back. In it, both Quill and Weedum-Ja are portrayed as sort of elitist snobs, and for some reason they are related. A long time ago Kaz read it on a stream, but I realized that shockingly it wasn't actually on the booru! Well, there's no actual sex depicted, and nude cats aren't verboten I don't think - at least as long as long lurid descriptions of body parts are avoided. So since poor Weedum-Ja doesn't get enough airtime on the booru I'm posting it. At the top is the thing Kaz drew that inspired it. I blame it all on him.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Exactly! And such necks have a long and storied past around here.

bluedraggy: Hey, that draggy is just trying to return her to her original state of innocence as nature intended! He should be applauded for his attempt. It's that terrible lizard on the right that's handing her a MOST unnatural fruit for purposes having nothing whatsoever to do with nutrition! Draggy is innocent of this crime!

- Reply
bluedraggy: Had to color it! As for the text, in typical insane enchanter fashion, it leaves your head spinning. Wait, what?

- Reply
bluedraggy: Also I bet between the vinyl of the inflatable shark and Quill's slick reptile scales rubbing together, there's so much squeaking going on it keeps the slaughterfish away.

- Reply
bluedraggy: That sun is still flaming. :) There are so many things to love about this, not least of which is the curvy coloring lines, but yeah - that shark. I want one. (and also... hips.)

- Reply
bluedraggy: @ADudeCalledLeo - I considered more non-standard colors for Scleepy, but somehow I just felt a standard pale green snake is a little cuter and potentially less threatening. Vivid colors tend to denote venomous (I think). Also, while it's probably intended to be written not really for "kids" but more for "idiots". :) Actually I think that's Katia's problem in understanding the book. I think she's too smart for it. She needs to dumb herself down to a 5-year-old mentality, goggle at the pretty snek and do what he says without thinking too much (any).

@Zerorganic - oh that's cute. You think I didn't steal those pauldrons from somewhere else! :) Of course you may!!!

@Rick2tails - Thanks. I think I'm a little broken. As Kaz commented when I showed him the first one, "You cannot be stopped. Where lineart lurks, you will render!" (Though I must admit I rarely do stuff that's quite so wholesome. But Scleepy is so damn cute!)

@KuroNeko - AND the third page I'll point out! Yes, the entire Scleepy saga!

- Reply
bluedraggy: Scleepy - The Entire Saga, now colorized for your enjoyment!

I cannot possibly explain why I did this, but I did anyway. Also not sure if this is all Squiggle's work or a combo of Squiggles and Kazerad - so I put both in.

Ted Turner's colorized movies will be calling me soon, I'm sure.

bluedraggy: Looks like she's just had the Best Idea Ever. Cue foreboding music.

- Reply
bluedraggy: After long disinterest, thought I'd try coloring again and what better than this? Made it slightly lewder so I thought it would probably not be right to add as a comment image on Kuro's original.

- Reply
bluedraggy: You, my good sir, have excellent rendering skills. Skirt wrinkles, texture of the book cover, boob shading (well, sorry dammit - that's what it is!) I hate to think how long this took, but I do assure you it was time well spent!

- Reply
bluedraggy: Yeah. In canon. Though she did get a lady boner once, so that's pretty close.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Only due to great mutual fondness can these two manage to overcome innate racial bias. This is a great concept and great execution!
QW would go on to become an acrobat after having learned how to fall gracefully with much repetition and practice.

- Reply
bluedraggy: I'm always amazed at how many different styles Katia looks good in. This is definitely some high quality work. Awful glad he let you upload it here too.

- Reply
bluedraggy: BTW, I ran across a pretty cool site: http://www.hemingwayapp.com/ It's kind of a next-level grammar checker. I don't always agree with it, but anything that might help is worth trying. Also I found out I write at a 3rd grade vocabulary level. (ugh). But maybe that's a good thing. I don't throw in too many exotic words. Kinda fun to throw in Kazerad text too and see what it does with that. :)

- Reply
bluedraggy: Also you can upload .txt files (and similar) here so no need to make em images. In fact, they come with a super-cool overlay if you upload them in one of the text formats. Plus I highly recommend AO3 (Archive of Our Own) as well. Once you learn how to use it, it's pretty much the best place to post fanfiction ever invented. It understands series, chapters, you can embed images. It's just all around well done. I've not moved all my stuff over there yet, but I'm working on it!

- Reply
bluedraggy: Yeah, after-the-fact I found it along with like 3 colored versions! Plus since it was originally posted by Kaz himself I should have had no worries about getting it removed (unless I posted my 'altered' version anyway.)

- Reply
bluedraggy: That look on Princess' face in the last panel. Fortunately Quill may have some experience dodging dangerous animals.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Original by Guoh, though I did completely reink it. In fact, not a pixel ISN'T hand drawn. Rather proud of it obviously. I'll shut up now.

- Reply
bluedraggy: If it gets taken down, I'll understand. Doesn't say a lot other than the obvious lewd. But beyond that I wanted to do a summer picture, because summer has been awfully long in coming. So hoping a skinnydipping angry Rajirra might appease the Summer gods and allow then to deign to bless us soon. With a sacrificial nekked cat.

bluedraggy: Interesting thought. It DID seem like Tavia was up awfully late. At least I had the impression it was wee-morning hours. But Nah can't be a vampire. She said so.

- Reply
bluedraggy: I suspect Evil Quill-Weave wouldn't make for the best proctologist. Or WOULD she?!

- Reply
bluedraggy: She flew. A little.

- Reply
bluedraggy: @Vidiotdragon I'd originally drawn a trough, but I felt like it wasn't immediately recognizable so I went with the modern urinal. Wasn't exactly going for immersion obviously! :)

- Reply
bluedraggy: Something that came into my head last night while walking the dog and thinking about Kaz' old essay about an alien lizard that doesn't know social conventions. Of course all the characters (except that gawdawful guy beside her in the first one) were drawn by others - cubedcoconut and Kazerad in this case. Got Cubed's okay just now to post it. He liked it too. So let's see what the mods say about this one! Don't worry, Katia was freed after the misunderstanding was cleared up. S'thengir, however, was pissed at the work he had to do on the signs.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Wow Zargo. Really excelled with this one.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Oof. Good point. Done!

- Reply
bluedraggy: I'm afraid there are just some people who aren't cut out to draw and I'm one of them. I'm actually good with that. Hoping someday to grab onto a good artist's coattails as colorist! (like Raptie for Valsalia. Though he's pretty good in his own right.)

- Reply
bluedraggy: That's the one part I DIDN'T do! My drawings are shit, but my coloring isn't too bad I think. I just modified somebody else's work there to make the head a bit more Quill-Weave-ish. And the legs were a bit too skinny. So primarily those are just warping of Anon's existing drawing.

bluedraggy: Also to not give it away, a simple "Yes" to acknowledge you know the source will suffice.

bluedraggy: Only the most learned in the lore of Sadcats might pass this test!

bluedraggy: Oak in Grey Hollow might be able to get away with it, but for everyone else this is a bad idea.
