AMKitsune: I just had the thought "even the smallest QW's there. It's just a shame the largest one isn't". Then it occurred to me, they must be playing twister on Kaiju-Weave's stomach! (let's say that she's too big to play, so she's just chilling)
AMKitsune: Wow, this rig seems to be really practical. How are the limb motions handled? Some kind of inverse kinematics system, or do you manually tween all join positions?
AMKitsune: The shading and tones used here are just *Mwah* beautiful. And that translucency effect on the shark! I know you've demonstrated translucency before, but every time I see it done this well, especially in a traditional medium, I'm left at a loss for words.
AMKitsune: Next time on the adventures of kitten and hatchling, our intrepid duo embark on an epic quest to the far reaches of 'garr-den' to brave the long abandoned depths of 'dad's shed' in search of their greatest treasure yet. The rod and dual maces of swingball.
AMKitsune: @Dominik, @lapma and @KuroNeko: Thanks everyone. I hadn't even considered the fenneko similarity, but now that it's been pointed out, I can't unsee it!
@Mezhik:
AMKitsune: Isn't it just typical? After barely stepping foot out of a bakery with sweetroll in hand, you look down to see this.
Looks like you'll be enjoying an entire half of that sweetroll.
AMKitsune:
"Remember Katia, you can only take the teeth that are under people's pillows. I don't care how much you need the money, the contents of their mouths are off-limits."
AMKitsune: @randomlyFish: Ok, I managed to fix the weird, sideways thumbnail, but I had to re-upload the file at a lower resolution. It's still just as functionally detailed as before, so that shouldn't be an issue hopefully.
AMKitsune: Oh no, it's the 1.0 model! Despite their unmatched proficiency at picking up dust and pet hair, they've never been able to distinguish between shed hair and hair still 'in use'. If it's touching the floor, all hair's fair game in this motorized monstrosities eyes!
Quickly Katia, onto a table, chair or worktop. That's the only way you'll be safe.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why I don't make a habit of trying to draw.
As per the spirit of the 'challenge', the only tool used was the brush tool. No mouse smoothing software or cheats like keyboard modifiers to create straight lines or anything. (Ok, I did blow up the brush size a few times to make circles, but is that really cheating?)
AMKitsune: @Zargothrax: Well, it's clearly watered down ketchup. She'd probably notice if her literal blood bath had the consistency of ketchup. (unless some weird elderscrolls race has ketchup-blood)
AMKitsune: @freynk03: I do. A lack of standard interpretation of image rotation metadata. Whatever though, Katia is now back upright and happily appreciating her tags.
AMKitsune: This is so... weird. Your character is unlike anything found in the comic, yet wouldn't look at all out of place in it. That's some impressive style matching right there.
AMKitsune: @KuroNeko: Have you considered using one of those artist's 'light boxes'? Seems like the sort of thing that could really help for these sorts of frame by frame animations.

There are some rather reasonably priced ones out there to from the looks of it.
That being said, there's a stylistic charm to the slight wiggle that comes with each frame being slightly different.
AMKitsune: When your dreams are full of dark shadows for monsters to hide in, it's good to have a friend bring a little sunshine to your world.
That's a couple of cute kittens right there. Great job
AMKitsune: @KuroNeko: Honestly, I can only imagine how hard it would be to get colours and lighting right first time around when using a traditional medium. At least with digital, you can tweak things as many times as you want, but with something like this, there's little to no going back once you've laid down your pen strokes.
Still, if my brief attempt is anything to go by, darkening the scene to match it's night time/heavily overcast setting would make it rather dark indeed.
While some aspects of your picture may be a little over saturated (background grass and foreground water), I still like the overall brightness of the scene. The sky just doesn't quite match.
AMKitsune: @KuroNeko: You're most welcome. I may not be as good at raw shading as I used to be, but that won't stop me doing what I can . Your pictures are often so adorable (and easy to work with) that it's a pleasure to work with them. You've also shared so much of it here, this kind of thing is the least I can do to give something back.
@bluedraggy: Thank you very much. It took me a little while to figure out the best way to achieve that look, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out (it's a modified 'fractal noise' animation). For something that only lasts 5 seconds, this took a surprisingly long time to render. (the 3D lighting and shadows really take their time compared to basic 2D stuff). Still, I'm glad it was worth the wait.
AMKitsune: As nice as this looks, I remain convinced that QW sounds like a typical, chain-smoking Oblivion Argonian, Katia probably can't play the piano, so will be playing chopsticks or something equally simple, and Aggy will somehow be producing kazoo sounds (because why be limited to an instrument's normal sounds, right?). But they're all having fun, and that's all that matters at the end of the day.
AMKitsune: @KuroNeko: You may not post full colour pics like this often, but damn is it a treat when you do! Now I have to ask. Roughly how long does it take you to make something like this?
AMKitsune: Ok, this is just too precious.
