Based on my (limited) experience I can say this piece above can be done in 1.5 - 2 hours, maybe faster. Outfit design is a bit trickier. "Pure" drawing time can be really small if you have good idea in mind but may be really long if you can't understand that's bad in your design and how to make it cool.
Radian: @Makkon: There is some big issue with these methods: if you not notice mistake early steps it'll be nightmare to fix later. Also choosing proper colors for shadow/lights harder for me because I not used to work with different layer modes so much. But it allows to make some very cool "color madness" effect. I kinda want to show that painting I did yesterday.
Radian: Well, I made some experiments based on this method. Result is very... interesting. But I really used to work on lights and shadows at once (like sculpting the form) so jumping between layers is not my "thing". I'll make some more experiments soon and it'll be something prequel-related.
Also, your sketch much more accurate and clean than mine ;)

Radian: @Makkon: I use Matt Kohr's method pretty often. It's like create new layer > add some changes > refine > merge > repeat. So, usually my drawings have 5-8 layers at the end and it feels comfortable.
Radian: @Makkon: 3-4 hours? I expect something like 12-15. I'd spend about 3-4h for each. Maybe I'll try that way to render (but merge most layers anyway).

Bunch of critique: Итак. Шея длинная и тонкая и входить она должна в затылок а не в челюсть. Собственно челюсть заканчивается в основании уха, само ухо чуть ниже. Лицо как мне кажется слишком широкое. Глаза пожалуй самая косячная часть, они слишком широкие (хотя это можно списать на стилизацию). Если ты хотел сделать их приоткрытыми добавь сверху складки века (у правого глаза нечто подобное есть но не там). Нос в принципе правильный, но он не совсем женский. Ухо "внутри" чутка накосячено. Выше про скулы уже сказали. И ключицы сильно угловатые, особенно посередине. C-c-combo
Про губы пожалуй промолчу, они вроде нормальные и у меня самого они сейчас вызывают больше всего боли в заду.
Еще в глаза бросается разный стиль носа и уха.
Могу сделать быстрооверпайнт.
Radian: Эта голова оказывает разрушительное воздействие на все остальное тело ._. Выше правильно сказали, от себя добавлю что мускулатуру плеча\руки неправильно изобразил и грудная клетка "выпуклая" с левой (от нас) стороны.

Бросать не стоит. Я не знаю как долго и усердно ты этим занимаешься, но для хорошего прогресса нужно время. А для эскизов советую набыбать пачку фоток с няшными голыми азиаточками и рисовать с них. Я не уверен но попробуй загуглить "Hyper Angle", у меня так архив назывался. Внутри 300 фоточек в разных позах и с разных ракурсов.

По поводу качества. Этот рисуночек пожалуй выходит за рамки скетча но прилично не доходит полноценной работы.
Кожу можно просто немного обмазать текстурой чтобы не выглядела полированной пластмассой. Ну или поизвращаться с кистями и попробовать сделать что-то создающее эффект чешуи. С шерстью все куда проще в этом плане.

Radian: Весьма неплохой результат для начала. Самая большая и заметная ошибка - грудная клетка. Она какая-то слишком выпуклая и странно соединена с животом. Про шею тебе уже сказали, кисти рук тема геморройная но левая вроде ничего (только меньше чем нужно).
Могу попробовать вправить все это добро.

@katiaaitak: In you case advise may sound like "learn everything", but I gonna say something different. I'm pretty sure you draw this pic digitally, with mouse. Throw away that shit and draw with pencil, it's much better. And try to understand form, rather then mindlessly copy. Form is probably most important, you must know it even for simple cartoons.
Also I think Poma bitching because you upload a lot of pretty bad drawings. Being bad is okay because you are start recently. Just keep improving and post thing you proud of (or something with good ideas).
